For what it’s worth, there’s a band called Natchez Trace.
I found that in itself kind of interesting. However, I have yet to learn why they named their band Natchez Trace. Especially since they’re out of Michigan.
Here’s what I know about the band…

Natchez Trace, the band, performs “acoustic classic rock”.
They’ve been around since the ’70s.
The band includes 2 original members: Ronn Burke and Steve Damstra and 1 new member: Robin Spring.
They perform a lot. But mostly only in western Michigan (Grand Rapids area).
From their site:
Feel the Natchez magic of acoustic guitars, bass and big harmony as Beatles, Badfinger, Mamas and Papas, Fleetwood Mac and Crosby Stills Nash songs bring back memories of the good times you’ve had.”
Check ’em out… I’d encourage you to have a listen to their music.
We’ve lived in the Nashville area since 2001 — and all 3 of our houses have been situated relatively close to the Natchez Trace Parkway. To me, the ‘The Trace’ is a hidden gem of Nashville — a place to go when you want to get away from it all and be one with nature. I’ve hiked it, biked it, motorcycled it, walked it with my dogs, and driven my car on The Natchez Trace Parkway more times than I can count! This is where I share some of my favorite things to do along the Natchez Trace Parkway — which runs 444 miles from Nashville Tennessee to Natchez Mississippi and through parts of Alabama. When I’m not enjoying the beautiful outdoors along the Natchez Trace Parkway, you’ll find me at the corner of Good News & Fun Times as publisher of The Fun Times Guide (32 fun & helpful websites).
Lynnette, You need to go to Natchez Traces web site http://WWW.NATCHEZTRACE.US I’m just friends of them for 30+ years. You would just LOVE their music. You would think they would fit right in in one of the Natchez Trace Festivals down your way. They sure make our festivals great. Doug Taylor

I saw Natchez trace at cannonsburg ski lodge this week end, and think that this is the best band that I have ever seen in this area, I am really sad to here that the base player is retireing soon. I would follow this band, and tell all my friends about them. I wish that I have heard of them sooner. To the base player! I realize that you need to do what you need to do, and you have been playing a long time, and want to enjoy life. But I am writing you to let you know, that you are needed, and will be missed. I do hope that you find some time to for you, but realize how much you have touched peoples lives along the way! The three of you, are a team of very great artists! Your music is the best in the area!!!!! I am new to you, and hope to be able to follow you in the future. Best wishes to you all Dave

The name of the John is John Egger, he was one of the Original Natchez Trace in 1972. I was told that the band had formed on an Aircraft Carrier in Mississippi.
